Wow, that is nothing short of amazing. Does he really think you can throw that much BS out and no one will notice??? It seems there should be some legal action that could or should be taken as nothing...NOTHING in this ad is correct, legitimate, or remotely honest. It's astounding to me that someone thinks they can do or say anything with no consequences at all. How can this be okay?
Many peeps that buy parts/vehicles on ebay are as clueless as the sellers, will believe anything. That's what the seller of this "numbers matching" F100 "w/a rare 351(W) engine" is counting on.
A dumb cluck paid SIX HUNDRED AND SIXTY DOLLARS for a repopped 1965/66 F100/250 Cuatom Cab sweep speedo instrument cluster bezel on ebay...I kid you not. Someone here posted a link to the ad.
Several other dumb clucks were also bidding on it, the seller even said it was a repop. So why didn't "Mr. Brilliant" and etc look in some repop parts sellers catalogs to see what the asking price was? It's $150.00 in DC's catalog.
An ebay seller listed a NOS "1965/66 F100 352" accelerator cable...pic had a yardstick next to the cable, it measured 34 inches. The seller also listed the part number: C5TZ-9A758-F
I watched the ad to see if it sold...it did. I hope the buyer has a 1965 N500/600 w/a 240, cuz that's the only vehicles it fits.
The correct cable is C5TZ-9A758-AH and is 20" long: 1965/66 F100/250 2WD.
Hey, if I understand ebay bidding policy a seller, with no reserve, is required to produce the item to highest bidder; if so, Bill W could be the new owner. Not sure how the 'make offer' bids work, imagine it's the seller's attempt at getting around posting offers thus no winners below the 'buy it now' tag. Good luck Bill
Since there's no mention of "no reserve" in the ad, this is a 'reserve' auction, so the seller has prolly set the reserve price just below the 'buy it now' price....cuz that's what most ebay sellers do.
If it doesn't meet the reserve, it's a no sale.
The make offers jazz doesn't mean anything unless the offer is at or above the reserve.
Prolly 20-25% of the vehicles listed...are sold after the sale to the highest bidder, which is against ebay's policy.
I had a pal of mine (used car dealer/hustler) list a 1968 Galaxie XL for me on ebay. The high bidder didn't reach the reserve, but after the sale concluded, was contacted.
He agreed to pay an extra 500 bucks and bought the car.

Funny how it's Custom Cab on the driver's side but not on the passenger's - small oversight in the showtruck area. Can't count how many trophies it's won? Zero is a number that comes to mind. A genuine Pigeon Forgery - looking for a pigeon!
Actual its a "buy it now or make offer".So it is not an auction at all.Either you pay his price or you can flood his mail box with insanely low offers.
Appears I am wrong, certainly looks like there's a 'no reserve' in the truck description. EIther way, as ul37 mentioned, seems either pay seller's asking price or forget it.
Bill, sorrry, see where you had quoted toby351 who made the $800 offer, I would wish toby luck but it's obvious this item is going nowhere, see why seller only sold 44 items and has a 97% favorable rating.
EVEN BETTER....look at that engine shot.....houston we have a problem...THAT AINT NO 351! look at the intake in the front shot! eek...is it a 302? 289? 260? also those restrictive 289esk manifolds...it is a shame that he is prostituting out such a once noble truck!
