Across from the hospital in Jennings. That's why you hear the plane in the background. I think it's a bubba oustalet used car lot. Wanna go test drive it with me?

I've worked in the marine industry for about 15 years now. I used to do com/nav/control systems for a bunch of vessels that Leevac built. My last stint was at Hornbeck Offshore. They just finished building 9 vessels over there a year or so ago.

I now work for Kongsberg Maritime in St. Rose, LA, right next door to the airport in New Orleans. We do control/automation systems for offshore vessels, drill rigs, ships, etc...

Leevac was one of the best yards I've ever worked in (and I've worked in a bunch all along the Gulf and East Coast!). It's a real laid back place where everybody is willing to help each other out.

Wish it was still like that! There are a few guys that work there that go to church and they said it's getting pretty tight. Lots of lay offs, not much work, and so on. They did however open up a big dry dock at the l&n turn basin.
