Vacuum Modulator location
Evening people, question for all browsing, Just bought a 74 F100 w/ 390. first day of maintenance on it changed out the valve cover gaskets as they were leaking pretty bad. OK, here goes, when removing the left side valve cover, a vacuum line running behind it "popped" loose. It ran from the intake vacuum and behind the block. It leaves the intake vacuum in the form of rubber hose and then goes to steel tubing with a somewhat flared end. From tracing the other vacuum hoses coming out of the intake vacuum, only thing i can figure out on this particular hose is that it runs to the "vacuum modulator" on the auto/tranny. spent the better part of 2 hrs crouching, crawling, stuffing, and grunting with no luck, cant seem to locate this modulator. doesnt help that i've never seen one before either. any help, hints, or advice is appreciated!!

thats right, you seem to be just behind me in what your doing, I just got a 73 F100 and put a new motor in it, had to figure out everything on it, this forum is a blessing, alot of experience lurking around in here
