Power steering hose's
Looking for a location to buy power steering hose's going from ford pump to a rack and pinion. CPP has them but a set is around $150.00 dollars. Seems kinda high.Are is this what is about average?

I had to have a custome hose made the other day. I went to my local NAPA, and they made me hose that went from a SAE 45* fitting to an old GM with large inverted flare. The fittings, with the hose, swedged with a 40 ton press, cost me $23.00. Check your local parts store, they may be able to make the one you need.

If you have, or know what the hose end fittings are supposed to be, they can be easily made. There may be a hydraulic shop near you that can make them, if your local NAPA doesn't do that kind of thing. I would think there's a lot of less expensive options over the CPP deal. Check your yellow pages and see what you can find.

As Wayne just posted, most industrial parks have hose and hydraulic places and can put these together for a fairly reasonable price. You just need to get the proper fittings and measurements.
