new smoke
Hey everyone

Was out driving today and truck started pushin black smoke under throttle
seems to be running fine plenty of power just smokes even a little at idle.
some times a light throttle smoke looks grey.
it has new hpop , oil cooler and sinester egr delete. done about 500 miles ago.

2003 f550 6.0

does it seem really laggy on take off? like more than normal?

I am no expert but maybe injectors, mine did almost same thing when i lost a injector.JMO

I pulled intake boot off noticed a fair amount off oil in intercooler tube is this normal ?

Yes that's from the ccv. I would say have it scanned to see if there is any codes. Possibly injectors, or maybe turbo related.

will any ob2 scanner pull codes or do i need somthing in particular

Scan gauge II would be the cheapest thing to get at this point. And will do much more than just pull codes. It will go a long way in figuering this out. They sell them at autozone

got a scangauge 2 tried it out,but got no codes noticed it runing a little rough ,but starts fine and smokes all the time injector problem ?
need some help to figure it out.
