hey guys and gals...
just wanted to give people a place to vent the flooding...also so you dont think you are the only one dealing with it...
i had a lot of damage from the rain and ground water...but my mom lives between fishing creek and the fairgrounds in bloomsburg(which is the house i grew up in). on wed they were evacuated because of the creek rising and coming over. wed nite and thurs, the creek ripped thru the town. the river also began to meet it. the river crested today at 32.4 ft. 2nd highest on record, 2nd to the 1904 flood. in 2006 the crest was about 29 ft and we worked for weeks to clean up the river mud and mess. currently we cannot get there to see any damage yet. hoping the water recedes by tomorrow..my mom is going crazy with the "unknown." good luck to all affected by this crazy rain/flood. you will be in our prayers, and keep us in yours...thanks just needed to vent
thanks guys...appreciate it.
i guess as of the latest data, the river will settle down 5am monday...so now we just have to wait till the authorities let us in...ill keep you posted
im with ya chris.. water was buckeling roads near me. 222 towards lancaster was shut down all day. harrisburg was in state of emergency for 2 days = no class. do you guys need anything? you know where just a jump away
nothing yet...thanks...it will be a couple days till we see the house. all i have to do is finish the driveway, and the tractor with back blade should do the trick...they have the national guard in bloomsburg not letting anyone close to the major damage...it just sucks waiting, and it is tearing my mom up. let me know if you need anything there...
