Dodge VS Ford
This post is about the way my truck starts. It is brand new and not hard to start, but my friend has a 00 cummings and his truck starts as soon as he turns the key.
What makes the dodge start so quickly. I dont like that I have to spin the PS over a few times before it cranks. Is it because the dodge preheats the air VS the head (glowplugs)?
I personally dont wait for the glow light to go out in the truck. The truck starts exactly the same no matter what I do to it.

The injectors are operated by high oil pressure. There is a separate high pressure oil pump that supplies the high pressure oil to the injectors. It takes a couple cranks to get the oil pressure high enough to fire the injectors.
