My in-cabin filter light on the dash came on, at least that's what I think it is. Where is it located and how do u change it out or clean it and how much do they cost?
I believe your talking about the light for the engine air filter. There is a filter minder on your air box with a red reset button. Its either time to change your filter or shake it out and push the reset button.
If that is the filter minder light then I have nothing too worry about because mine is disconnected and just laying in the engine bay. I never hooked it up when I installed my AFE big boost filter. I looked at it when the light came on but nothing is blocking the hole so thats why I thought it was the in-cabin filter. I know some ford vehicles have this filter but I guess our trucks dont.
Did you unplug the filter minder or is it still connected the the electrical harness? I unplugged mine and left it out and have no light. Yea I believe a few of them have the cabin air filters but I can't imagine they would have a light for when that filter is clogged.
Are you guys talking about the intake air temp sensor located in the stock air box?
The only filter "sensor" I am aware of if the filter minder and mine has no electronic connections, Buy I have a 2000 so maybe ford got fancy later on.

Just trying to learn something new here.
2002 and newer have a filter minder that will trigger a light... They gave us that rather then a real oil pressure gauge... oh and they took away the volts "gauge"... Good old Ford... LOL

But they were nice enough to give use a useless trans temp gauge that might as well read "BUY A NEW 4R100" when the needle moves.
