Is there a dot spec on fog lights? I was thinking of using a 27 watt flood or 10 watt spot, replacing my existing stock fog lights. Anybody have any insight into this? Can they be used at night to compliment the headlights? They would be equal to 65-75 watt or 150 watt incandescent lighthttps://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=79491
I found led fog lights on ebay that are a direct replacement of the factory ones. I installed them a month ago. very happy with them, very bright. I will find the link for them and post it up.
I'm not impressed yet. The second link above advertises them as a "daytime running light". So my question is this.... how much light do they throw out after dark? Are they just bright and shiny for appearance as a daytime running light only?

thats pretty much what i'm assuming, and thats all i want them for since i have my fogs wired to an ignition hot for DRLs. my HID headlights overshadow my HID fogs as it is.
Misky. they are both the same. Just one is charging more for them. The last pic is of them at night. It's not the best pic. Will try to take one with the lights shining on something.

Have you guys gone to LED takedown & alley lights? If so how do you like them? I would think these would be comparable.
I served from 1972 to 2001. Not sure what the boys use now.
OIC. Well I think the LED are brighter than the regular lights and I'm sure these would provide a similar improvement over stock fog lights. If you are looking to make them driving lights you would proly be disapointed.
