Programing Scan Gauge II

I got my new scan gauge and am trying to program it. So before I throw this thing in the garbage disposal I will ask for a little help. A couple things in the instructions are confusing. It says a nonspace entry must be made in the first character location. Does this mean 0? And it says the number of charters must be even. Does this count the nonspace entry? This thing is driving me crazy. Any help would be great. I do have the Ford codes. Just having trouble puting them in>

Oh, and when you have entered them, the Scangauge scrolls from #24-#0 So I wrote mine done in alphabetical order for easier finding them.

You can change locations in the numbers, but we are just heading out the door, can explain later!!!

I'm still doing something wrong as my FMP is 121. Do we have diesel a or diesel b in the setup menu?

IIRC we are Diesel a I was going to try that one day its kinda complex

you probably just have a number or something off its really easy to do

Try this

User Manuals : Linear Logic - Home of the ScanGauge

what code are you using for FMP

FMP FICM Main Power (Volts) (Should be 47-48) TXD: 07E02209D0 RXF: 0462450906D0 RXD: 3010 MTH: 0064010000000 NAM: FMP

Benny,

Your MTH entry has 00 in front of the number I have on my sheet. Why did you add the two zeros?

Hey guys I finally got this figured out. Some of the codes must have changed for my Scan Gauge. I have copied them from their site for the 6.0 Diesel and some have changed. I'm finally getting some correct readings. The only one that I'm missing is ECT which their site does not show. Hopefully I will get that one too by looking around or call them tomorrow. Thanks for your help now I can finally stop beating my head against my truck.

Its marked fWT on scan gauge but its rally just coolant temp

fWT means Farenheight Water Tempiture

Those math codes for the FICM had an extra 0 for some reason. Remove the last one. There are only 12 places in the math code on those.

There are some changes that LinearLogic did with some of the codes. For example, the EOT code is different than the one I use. It will give a decimal point on temps below 100*. Also, they determined that one of the EOT codes (at one point there were 3) was off 1 degree. The one in the manual on their site works great.
