I just switched my xl headunit for a 100$ pioneer and am happy. I just wanted an aux input but like the usb better (iphone). The ergonomics arent nearly as good as the huge factory buttons but install was very easy order at crutchfield and they give good instructions and pigtail to go with

It has a backup cam input...I havent bought one yet, so I don't know how well it works

My truck is a 99 so I had to trim the opening a little to get it set in there. Used this kit and it fits very well.

My good camera quit workin, so sorry for the bad pic.

I have a Clarion CX609 that came with a bluetooth microphone, and rear iPod connection which allows me to keep it out of sight in my glove box. After some modification it fits perfectly in my dash. I really liked the fact that I could change the color of the display to match my dash lights.

I have the Kenwood DNX 5120..had it for about 4 years now has performed flawlessly. It has all the bells and whisltes. I have yet to install a back up camaera, but I am holding out for an 08 tail gate so that I can add it to the handle.

I would sell you my OEM cd6 out of my 06 its just collecting dust, and Im not parting ways with my truck for a long time.

I am not finished but here is what i have done so far: (bought this stuff from Crutchfield)
Pioneer AVH-P3300BT Head Unit
Kenwood KFC-C5793PS speakers (2 front & 2 back)
Bazooka BTA6100 100Watt powered Sub woofer
Boyo VTL402C/VTL422C Back up camera
Custom made PC interface board

Yet to do:
Add high power back up lights
Add Switch for Back up lights
Add Switch for Back up camera

The head unit is really nice and the sound quality of this system is amazing. I use this truck to pull a race trailer so I am in it for long periods of time when picking up radio stations is a pain. I have the Ipod interface and it works great. The only small inconvenience is the Ipod user interface on the head unit is a bit cumbersome.

The custom built PC board does several things for me. First, it will fool the parking brake signal each time you start the truck so my passenger can use the DVD feature any time they want. It also runs the extra back up lights so that when the truck is in reverse or when my extra toggle switch is on, the lights come on. This way when I am hooking up the trailer and the truck is in park, the lights stay on. It will also run the back up camera when the truck is in reverse or when the extra toggle switch is activated. This way if I ever want to see the hitch while driving I can just use the toggle switch. I love having the back up camera for hooking to the trailer. It saves a bunch of time when I am by myself.

The head unit will allow you to place your own background picture on the unit. (my favorite toy is on there ) BTW: Don't bust my chops because Talyor Swift was playing when I took the picture.

I should have mentioned that I love shopping at Crutchfield because their site allows you to list products by feature. You can use this as a great tool to figure out what you really want. It was confusing to me when I started looking because of all the options you can get. The Pioneer head has Blue Tooth and the hands free phone feature is GREAT!!!

I really like your back up cameras image! It's much better than mine. Thanks for posting the model number too. I have added one to my Amazon wish list because it's much better than mine

I'd rep you if I could but I'm on my phone. Someone hit him with one for me
