Don't know about Canada..but I'm seeing fewer and fewer on the roads and more and more in the junkyards here in the US (California & Texas). Which sucks for the previous owners, but good for me because I'm finding a whole lot of parts for my truck!!

Guess I should maybe get out into the yards more then!
Never did see a lot on the road, wife and I always are scanning for them. Like the looks!

Out here in Oregon/Washington I see very few Flaresides, except for a few Lightning's. everybody sure likes the looks, so it doesn't make sense to me why there aren't more on the roads.
Though I agree that they do look great, one of the reasons that there aren't more on the road is because they don't make great work trucks. On the 04-08 model years, you can't mount any racks or tool boxes on the rails, and you lose about 10% of bed space as compared to the stylesides. Plastic outer fenders aren't as strong as steel ones.
One of the advantages, though, is having the steps, which makes access to the taller beds much easier.

Thanks Mr.Philadelphia,
It now makes sense to me, as I never bought my truck for any kind of work except towing. I definately went for the looks!
