Buying in the area is the plan, but still at least twelve months out... we're still recovering from a few financial owies from past lives...

We've driven by the old house quite a few times...but not by mistake yet...

We've been pretty productive so far today...we got by the bank to get some paperwork notarized, got both of the grown ups hair cuts, I had a shower and a nap, and am going to job B shortly.

Then I'll have TWO days off. WOW!

tcbofade....2 days off sounds good to me....well i got the chrysler hemi for the 39 ford tore down today..i guess we got lucky and it looks to be a low mileage engine.. after sitting around for at least 30 years that i know of the engine was clean inside and turned over free..just a touch of surface rust in one cyl. so the rat-rod ford truck build is back on i hope i can get my lazy butt up early tomorrow and take the bus for a ride.... maybe stop by and surprise a few if ya'll

We're here too! As soon as this coffee is done, I'll be cutting, welding and mudding on the '64 Chevelle. The bus can fit across the street at the laundromat if you park all the way to left as you pull in the driveway.

It's Sunday...I have today and tomorrow off.

I'm taking the girls up north to a town with a population of 9, but is hosting a flea market weekend. 500 vendors.

In a town of 9????

Oh well. My girlies are awfully good at filling the Escape with crap that you wouldn't think would fit...somebody hide my toolbox...

Terry, in a town of 9, everyone should be at the flea market. So there won't be anybody to complain about the crowd or noise!

Well, Old Rusty decided to live up to his name yesterday Pictures below.:

Should be "clicky" pics, IF I did this right. So now I can add around $300.00 to the $X,000.00 that I already need. Figuring on doing the whole thing from the engine back. At least he doesn't sound any louder. Wasn't loud to begin with, guess crapalytic converters do quiet one down. Don't need a tailpipe, just enough to get it back past the cab.

I had to do that on mine. I used the glass pack that came on it and then made the rest out of pipe I keep around. It took about $20 and an hour to put a new exhaust on my truck.

I got to visit with RC today and the girls got a tour of the magic bus. (which they thought was cool.)

I also did some rust repair on the Chevelle. Just a little more welding and I can start the mud work.

What I started with.

Rust cut out.

New metal welded in.

Would you believe that I took BOTH of my redheads to a flea market/swap meet, they BOTH had green dollars in their pockets and the only one who actually made a tangible purchase was me??

They did buy some soda pops and various fair type um... cuisine... but neither of them found any junk that they needed.

I found a new Ford baseball cap for $6, and bought 20 small rubber duckies for 50 cents each.

if y'all don't remember why I need 20 rubber duckies, I can remind you...
