PIP circuit failure- Code 14

I'm still getting a Code 14- PIP circuit failure. Truck seems to be running great tho. Sometimes it throws the code and sometimes not. What would the likely culprit be?

PIP circuit failure- Code 14

Mine did that just before the coil totally died. The Haynes manual has a thorough test procedure for the ignition system.

PIP circuit failure- Code 14

I figured it out. I had my nice, neatly routed plug wires laying on top of the wiring harness that comes from the dist. Apparently it could induce some current in the harness. Separated the wires and the code disappeared.
