What do i need to do to attach trans kick down rod?

I have not hooked up the trans kick down rod in my 86 F250 yet (351w) because i do not know what i need to get. I have the edlebrock 1406. Is the rod supposed to have a rotating ball in the end of it? because mine doesn't, pretty sure i need a new one. Anyone know where i can pick one up at?

Can someone post pictures of their set up?

The rod will likely have a rubber bushing in it, and nothing more. The rod slides onto a piece and is held in place with "clips." Some reason I don't remember what they are called...
