I have a 76 F100 with a Fuel Injected engine with an external pump. I want to change from an external pump to an internal pump, I was looking through ROCKAUTO webpage and it appears that the tank from the 76 and the one from the 89 truck have the same dimensions. Is this correct, I am refering to the rear tank, behind the rear axle. Does the tank from the 89 truck has an internal baffle in the tank, and also, what is the capacity of a 89 electric fuel pump, pgm and pressure.
It should fit.
The stock pumps are usually around 12psi to feed a high pressure pump on the frame. The tank should be baffled for the pump. Look at a 92 for a high pressure pump assembly. The tanks should be the same as the 89.
It is probably about 88LPH and will run 32-42psi regulated.
