Rooftop Clearance Lights
Rooftop Clearance Lights
I was wondering how hard it would be to install some rooftop clearance lights (those 5 orange ones) on top of my f150? Any info would be appreciated.

We've discussed this topic in the electrical forum a few times.
Maybe use the search feature to find them?

Rooftop Clearance Lights
I have them on my '92 F-150... ordered them as an option from the factory. The lights mount into holes in the roof, and are held on by two screws which also screw into the roof. The electrical wiring comes out of the light fixture, through the mounting hole, then under the headliner, down the windshield side plastic molding, then hooks to a lead from the wiring harness under the dash.
The lights look great, and they do actually add a safety advantage... other vehicles can see the truck earlier when it is coming over a rise.
