It's a custom HR from Comp Cams. It has 0.600I/E lift, and 273/299 Seat-to-seat, 224/244 @0.050" duration. The LSA is 114 degrees, and the overlap is about 58 degrees.

Ordinarily that overlap should produce more vacuum, but the ramp rate is so high for this cam that the valves are at a higher lift longer during the overlap period.

cam stuff.

If you get with some of the custom cam companys they may know how to get the most bang for the buck situation for you. Buying just off the shelf stuff works pretty good but having a guy do a little majic for you would be a little better. I run the MPG heads/cam research stuff and maybe scott can do some majic check him out.

You should consider a Comp Cams DEH-265. It has only 50 degrees of overlap, and should give you good vacuum.

put the vac gauge in over weekend. At idle in gear 11" and foot on the brake. cruising at 60mph can sit 15-16". Light throttle 45-50mph close to 20". This is with dual pipes but factory headers, 302cc aussie heads ported to gaskets with 4V valves, Holley street Dominator single plane. 3/4" spacer, 725 Holley vac sec carby, 425 impco lpg mixer fitted for duel fuel and most importantly a 265DEH comps cam.

idle warm and in park it is 11-12"hg. In gear foot on the brake it is closer to 10"hg. Sorry my fault for the previos incorrect reading. drops just over a point due to extra load.
