1. If by front quarter panels you mean front fenders they are pretty simple, they just bolt on.
2. Front damage would most likely be easier.
3. cab replacement ist bad if you have something that will lift it and not damage it.
if you don't know how to pull off the fenders, you should be a little careful, usually when the fenders are damaged, the mounts need to be straightened out and pulled for new fenders to fit properly, well, that depends on the extent of the damage
AVOID frame damage, trust me on that one, you'll regret it once you take it for inspection

they are also glued on at the rear and are very aggravating to pull off. don't buy one with major frame damage! if you are looking at one hit hard in the front make sure you look for kinks in the frame behind the wheels on the bottom and inside of the frame. the frames are boxed and if they get kinked they will never come back out. personally i would look for one that's side swiped with no front or side structural damage. just one that needs a fender doors and bedside. that would be the easiest rebuild.
