Another, "should i" question

Well, I've finally got my 99 PSD 4x4 exactly how i want it. Cleaned up and smells good on the inside too. When you think you got it figured out someone throws you a curve. A buddy of mine is selling his 2000 PSD 4x4 Crew cab for exactly what I can get out of my ext cab. I have always wanted a full 4 door truck but its gonna be tough to sell my baby. Mileage on my truck is 167k his is 177k so I would be pretty much swapping miles for miles. He wants 12k for his truck and I've got a buyer for my truck at exactly 12k. There are no known problems with either truck. My only set back is the tranny. My truck had a FORD factory tranny put in it before i got it somewhere around 100k. His truck has the original tranny in it. Other than that the only difference is cosmetic stuff that I can make look like mine. Should I be leary of the Tranny???

Someone tell me what to do!!

same situation

Came across the same ordeal, few wekks back. Buddy from high school, dumping his ride, c.c. 4x4 lb, mines a 2wd xc 6sp 117k where his was 185k. Started waying out the "possiblities", and just didnt add up...his tranny was i thought, ready to go, few interior plemishes, outside could've used a paint job...etc, ended up passing on it, and from that, made me appreciate my truck even more.
