48 and 52 differences

I'm swapping engines from my 52 which isn't road worthy to my 48 which has a worn out flathead.

Anybody need specific comparison pics of the underhood area of the two models. They're sitting nose to nose so now is the time. Just about to pull the engine from the 48.

serial number location? motormount angled x-members? road draft tube?

Shoot it all - Post the pictures - They will be there when needed - Some members will not understand what you're saying so the pictures will explain it to them

I second that!

Shooting a bunch of pictures sucks though, but its extremely helpful for others, and even yourself if you forget something.

If the 52 is fairly stock and unmolested how about pictures of the wiring on the firewall and harness to the motor?

I'd like to see the routing of the headlight wires down to the foot switch. (on the '52, not sure they'd be different tho)

And I forgot the road draft tube would be nice also the horn wiring if that is still there. Heck if a picture is worth a 1000 words I probably need about a million.

I'll try to get what you guys need.

I've got some of these already apart - sheetmetal is off the front at this point I'm past those wiring connections. Most of the headlight connections and horn wiring comes from the harness so you only see a short lead.
