Got me some BOXES!

I got all of this for "free". I had an old text book from last semester and I used Amazon's trade-in program. They gave me $100 for it, so I converted that to truck toys.
I got me a set of Pioneer TS-A6874R speakers. They are 3-way (means they have sub, mid range, and tweeters built in) They are "Custom fit for FORD/MAZDA" as it says right on the speakers themselves. I chose them because I have a pioneer head unit that I love and I like things to match. So if the head unit is good, I'll bet the speakers are good too! I used Cruchfield to find the speakers I liked. They have good documentation and hands on research of all of their products. Once I found what I wanted, I went to amazon and bought it. Price: ~$50 w/free shipping.
Next to them are 2 small adapters. They plug into the factory speaker plug so yo u can use the factor connector and then splice into the new wire to your speakers. I like to maintain a "Back to factory" option with everything I do. Price: $10 w/free shipping.
The green cap.. well that was just for fun. I wanted a green cap so I can rub in peoples faces "HEY!! I HAVE A DIESEL
". Just kidding. I just like it cause its different. They had the locking option as well, so I got that too. Made in USA by STANT. Price: $15.00 w/free shipping. That 5lb paperweight is actually a smittybilt D Ring. 3/4" Stainless steel. Price: $11 w/free shipping.
Gonna go have lunch with a lady friend, then get to work with the speakers! I plan on adding some sound deadening in the truck too. I'm not a big audio fanatic. Its just not super important to me. So these 3-way speakers are probably as close as I'll ever get to true subs and tweeters. More than adequate for my wants. My current speakers have been popping lately. Probably just a loose wire, but we will see.

You will like the speakers. I installed a set from Crutchfield a couple years ago and it does make a nice difference. Install is pretty easy as well.
You are going to have to pace yourself.....X-mas will be here before you know it and then what?

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts

Here is my official write up!
1. Unscrew factory fuel cap.
2. Pull the leash grommet toward you. The cap will now be free from the truck. Set it aside.
3. Place the new cap in the fill spout.
4. Rotate clockwise until you hear 3 clicks.
5. Lock the cap.
6. Take a test drive and get a donut and a big gulp

No, she hardly ever pumps her own fuel. She tried it once and got diesel all over her shoes and that was the last of it. I can tell when she is low on fuel because she takes my truck to work and leaves me with hers. It's always a prayer while I hope I make it to the filling station. Gotta love being married!
I know it depends on the book, but that's a lot more than I've received on any of my wife's text books whenever I sell them back to the websites that buy used text books.
I'm gonna have to check that out!

They sell them for as low as $120 used. Or $150 new. So they give you a good deal. A lot of places will give you only a small fraction of their value.
