I have a 98 F150 XLT, Supercab, Off-road package, 4.6L, ECT. I've just got a new drive shaft put on, new tires, an alignment, and got the tires balance. About 4 to 5 months ago I had a vibration when im going down the highway about 65-70mph and let off the gas I get this loud vibration. When I slowly get back on it I get a vibration until the trucks has some torque on it, then goes away. Just wanted to know if any one has an idea. The key point is between 65 and 70 if imp going 60mph it will not do it.
One more thing. When going down the highway my ebreak and abs lights pop on. I could be going 35 miles to work and 5 miles from my destination they will come on. Some day they will not come on at all. Any ideas.
It sounds like you could have a short ? As for the vibration I'm very interested in finding out what it is because mine will do the same I'm almost convinced that it's my u-joints,we're yours replaced when you did your driveshaft?Dave.
I too would like to know. Last week I had the ball joints replaced and a two wheels balanced. I went on the highway and the sterring wheel is vibrating. Not at all like it was before this repair. What gives?
