I have a 95 Ford F250 2wd that has a front end vibration/wobble when I go above 40 mph. I replaced the front two tires and had them balanced a 2nd time so I know that is not the problem. I noticed this after changing the Radius Arm Bracket. I was wondering if this wobble could be from using bolts instead of the factory rivots, or if it could be from using the old bushing. The parts guy told me that unless my bushing was making a loud clunk, which it wasn't, then it was still good to use so I did. I seem to feel it the most when I am driving over rough pavement so I will be replacing the shocks this weekend. Any suggestions on what this could be? Possibly wheel bearings or ball joints?
Were the wheels put on with an impact wrench? if so, it's possible that the wheel didn't seat properly, causing them to wobble. Also, a bent rim could cause the same thing,
Does it change when you hit the brakes? does it go away when you go faster? Usually a balance problen will start shaking at a certain speed, like yours at 40 and will go awayat 50 or something. As a rule loose suspension and sterering parts dont cause vibrations, so it will be something that is rotating, tires, wheels, rotors... Sometimes it feels like the front when it is actually the rear, you could try to rotate tires and see if it changes. If you are feeling it in the seat it is in the rear, but sometimes the steering wheel will shake some from a rear vibration and be mis-diagnosed
