So I've got a 2004 F250 crew cab and I'm looking to put subs in
I've read about some speakers not being able to fit? Also i've seen sub boxes that go under the seats and others that go behind, which would you recommend and why?
Also, going back to the fit, what are some subs you've dealt with and know for sure they fit and are of good quality?
I just used this sub in the back of my 2000 F350 Crew Cab. It is a powered sub and doesn't take up a lot of space. The reviews were great and I think it sounds as good as others claimed. IMHO, you really do not need some monster sub woofer.
I had a local stereo shop build me a custom box for about $100 and it has 1 10" Kicker Shallow mount sub in it.
all depends on how much bass you want and how much $$$ you got...but for a little extra bass with a nice clean sound 1 10" speaker is perfect. I have seen a few trucks with 2 subs behind the seat but for most people that is way to much...
most boxes you find if not all that fit behind the seat will need a "shallow mount" speaker and even then they may not fit the box...
One easy way to gain room in a Crew Cab is to flip the seat mounts around, gains enough room for standard boxes behind the seat and most won't notice the loss of leg room. Just another thought.
