sct sf3 tuner
I am looking at getting this tuner. I mainly am looking to get some more milage since i do a lot of highway driving i dont do much towing. i was wondering if any of you have ran the pre loaded tunes and which setting you ran and if you had milage gains? or if a custom tune would be a lot better?

Mine should be here when I get off work today. Plan on taking a long weekend and towing my toyhauler. I'll post towing differences next week. Used to get 9.6 MPG prior during tows. Give me a few weeks to give a mileage increase idea. You won't find much info on buying these for the mileage increase. Just better all around performance. Mileage gains are considered a plus. I just did a EGR vlave/cooler delete and increased my mileage 1.2 miles per gal. Suggest getting foot off of throttle for better mileage.

ok my milage isnt to bad 17-20 usually. I was going to do the egr delete but it says with this tuner you can shut the egr system off so i figured that is just as good as a delete. the overall performance increase will b nice

Gained 10% on non-towing mileage. Checked those with a calculator. Towing was no change on the lie-o-meter. But using the towing tune + 50hp it ran like a scalded cat. Solved my CEL/wrench lite problems with EGR cooler/valve delete and SCT's tuner, using their canned tunes.

Don't buy it for a mpg increase you will be dissapointed. On 2 different trucks I might have seen 1mpg change unloaded. Towing I saw the most increase. Driving habit improvements will yeild the most increase such as staying at 60-65mph on the hiway. The power increase with a good tune though is Worth every penny.
