Hey Sam,
I went back & looked at the pics of your dashboard. It doesn't look that bad - I've attached my prize dashboard for perspective on the true meaning of hacked up.
Huh... that's the same exact column i bought, but i only got one shift arm (the bent one) and the OD indicator. Weird. I'll have to get ahold of them and see if I can get the other indicator.
BTW- Yeah hands down Ben's dash is the winner for being grossely hacked. I bet the whole thing is warped to beat hell and will probably never be straight again it its life. Freakin hacks... just too bad.

I only got one shift arm but two plastic pieces.. the second one was buried in the foam padding
Is this column going to fit my 56 with stock front end ? I am planning on doing the front end but my shifter is not that great and I want to put a billet steering wheel so I figured might as well get this column .
Sam- I think you'll be more than pleased witht he results. Looks like you're off to a good start. I got faith in ya! Oh and btw- didn't find any extra PRND21 in my box. Also realized mine was not from CPP but another outfit. Bought it a while back and got confused where i got it from. Box, packaging, etc.. looked the same as yours tho. Will just have to source another indicator.
@HEAVY100-- I guess that all depends on what steering you're running. I have stock suspension but am using the Toyota p/s conversion. Seems to work great so far, got it mounted up tonight. Just need to tackle the shift linkage now...

like Dano said, you will have to do some work at the steering box. the stock setup is a solid bar from wheel to box..

maybe a call to CPP can get u the glass? I plan on an OD tranny so will be using mine..
I have no idea what steering box to use ,I need ideas. I want to install power steering as well .
with the stock spring suspension, I think the only choice is a toyota power steering box.. it fits about exactly where the stock steering box is located,
and there is an arm available to connect to the stock draglink.
then u can use any steering column above it that has some adapter from its shaft style to the Toyota box input shaft.
my pleasure, and if u make 4 more posts then the FTE search engine becomes available for you (at 25) (they block out new users to prevent robots from driving the search engine)..
there are plenty of folks that have done the Toyota PS mod, and there are good pics and descriptions too..
