Msd blaster problem? Or electrical contact problem?

Alright. heres todays problem, :/ Engine wont turn over. Battery is fine. I just put in a new 3g alternator, had it running/firing up no problem yesterday. Drove it around a little, brought it back let it sit for 3 hours went out to run some errands and it wont even turn over. I have an MSD ignition with the MSD Blaster 2. Is it maybe that? Thanks for your help.

Turning over and starting are two diff problems. If engine doesn't turn over, you have something wrong in the cranking circuit, solenoid wiring etc.

I know it sounds simple, but make sure your battery connections are good, tight, and clean.

My truck has done that in the past and all I had to get out and wiggle the negative clamp and it would fire right up. I bought a new clamp since then and haven't had any issues.

Just a suggestion.

I think you might be right. My posts are tight but i wiggled the wiring from my blaster back to the push start and it started up. The PO butt crimped everything every for inches. Super irritating and then didnt even wrap it in electrical tape. FML haha

Well what we had was the negative side of my solenoid was sparking when i would try to start it. So i went out and bought a new Solenoid. Threw that in and it worked great for 2 weeks. Now its back to when i push my start button it just does 1 single click. Any suggestions?

Is your battery fully charged i.e. 12.6+ volts?

Let us know what you find out. My '79 with stock everything started doing the 1 click or several rapid clicks in the solenoid. Replaced the battery, replaced solenoid, starter was new in January. Sometimes it starts right up.
