starting problems
have F150- V-8 Gas engine. Whenever the engine is cold no problem starting cranks right up and runs fine. However once it is hot it will not start nothing almost like busted fuse or battery is gone however all other electric works windows, horn lights like there is no problem. radio doesnt work, and wont crank. However once it cools depending on weather can take 30 minutes or couple of hours but once engine is completley cool cranks right up. Also happens if it is parked in drive way and the tempature is hot nothing, but if i run water on the hood for 10-15 minutes to cool the temp cranks right up. Any suggestions

The issue would be only in the cranking circuit.
Here is the chain.
The ignition switch connects battery through a fuse to the digital transmission ranger selector and back to the start motor relay.
Not much there to work with.
I would go at the start relay first and see if there is voltage present on the winding in the crank position. Stay away from the fan and belt while testing this way in case you cause cranking to take place.
On some models an option for starter interuppt relay contacts are in the chain so keep that in mind, should it apply.
If the start relay is coming up, you should hear it click. If not there is an open before it or the relay is faulty. Relay is mounted on the fire wall by the battery.
Also try moving the shifter in Park and to NEUTRAL to see if the DTR or linkage is an issue.
