you don't happen to know if this would work on the banks sidewinder do ya?
i read what they used on this banks for a turbo back along, but i forget what it is now.
mitsubishi something.
i think its either T04B or a Mitsubishi TD04H, not sure of the differences or if thats even correct...also as far as size difference not sure. might want to type the numbers into google and see what happens
edit, maybe TE06H? i tried a quick search and wasnt very successful
Will post up results once I have a chance to drive it, probably in around 4 hrs

Alright just drove it around a bit, seemed to spool noticeably faster and when I tried to do max boost run I was at 11..12...and......MY DOWN PIPE FELL OUT?:. Wtf how did that happen? Ill check it out in the am

Same thing happened to me on my test drive after putting on my turbo. I had to tweak the bracket that goes from the downpipe to the exhaust stud. If I remember correctly, I had to add in a nut to clap the bracket onto the stud tightly. Otherwise it could move around and the downpipe would drop out of the turbo outlet. Remember that the ATS turbo outlet is just a slip fit and doesn't hold the downpipe at all, the bracket does all the work.
Ok I got the DP back in and sealed tight, not going anywhere now! I had to bend a 1 more of the fire wall so the downpipe fit snug and didn't vibrate against it. Didn't do any max boost runs but I can hit 10psi in about 1.5-2 seconds from 1.5lbs of boost at 50mph then downshift and 10lbs and speed shooting up! Im happy so far. Next on the list, find the leaky injector
how long did it take to spool up before?
i made sure i bent my cab seam/flange back good.but without the pipe yet,i dunno if i need more left/right lol.
good to hear it was something simple.
Well previously I could achieve 10 still, but I would down shift, kind of pause at 7ish then creep up to 10psi, but by the time I hit that 10 I was going way to fast for the speed limit. Now its noticeably faster to hit 10psi, doesn't pause around 7-8psi. Now very rarely do I ever speed and need that boost, but its nice to know its available!! normal driving (granny style) top is typically 5. Aka fuel economy mode
that really made a big difference then.worth the $. good going!
cus if your towing/loaded heavy, shed pull the hills better by the sounds of that.
Yep, at first I was a little optimistic about it but with all the talk on wrapping pipes and everything I figured the turbo hot side could use it too...and sure enough keeps it nice and toasty, like my GF said, "it looks like a snuggy blanket, for a turbo" lol. It seems like there is a lot of little things you can do to these turbos to squeeze some more out of them
