I'm lookin for the curved arm that runs between the cowl vent handle assembly and the cowl vent itself to push it open or closed for my '53 F250. I just cleaned up the vent assembly and found the arm was missing completely. If someone has an arm laying around they want to sell, or if you could trace one out on a piece of paper and mail it to me I'd deeply appreciate it. If someone can trace one out (with appropriate holes marked) and mail the tracing, i can make one from scrap myself.
I hope someone can help me out here. I don't see a replacement listed in any of the catalogs I have.
Guess I will try to readjust my Karma. Does anyone else need a curve arm tracing done for them and mailed? If so, email your address and I will send one.
Hey if you still need one I might have one. I just picked up another 53-55 cab and it came with a box of parts. I'll dig thru it tomorrow and see if I've got one in there.
I saw one
on John'sf-funhundred.com. They have parts for 53-56
Chromed and they want your original in return, like a core. Spendy too. Thanks for tryin, especially for the new source for other goodies. I feel like the red-headed step child tho having a F250 instead of F100 or F150. There's just enough different like brake parts to be a PIA sourcing.
BTW, thanks Teardropty, the cowl arm template showed up today. I'll have at it soon as i get a hunk of scrap.
