I like the black running boards better. That is why I like the Eddie Bauer versions better - it breaks up the monochrome look of the limited package! Looks great!
Mine is a eb & the rear bumper & running boards were tan, now black, I need to find the door edge protectors in black any ideas where? I tries jc & auto any thing, its time to shed my crome ones
I as well like the tan better, but everyone has different taste.
While unhooking my car trailer the other day I had trouble getting it up off the ball because the trailer was on a slight incline and was putting pressure on hitch. So I jumped in the X to move it forward a bit to take the pressure off and hopefully get the trailer off the ball. Well of coarse the hitch popped off the ball as soon as I moved some and took the pressure off and the trailer hitch hit the plastic in the middle of the bumper and marked it up. So now that mark is gonna bother me until I get a new one.
I really need to swap my tan boards for black! How much were the black skins and does anyone want my tan skins? Truck is a 2000 X with the lighted factory boards.
My brother had a local do a black dye on his tan boards, I have yet to take pics, but they aren't holding up as well as hoped. I'll start a new thread with pics when I take some.

after i replaced my rear bumper covers, i was going to paint my running boards. After testing 4-5 products i found herculiner from fleet farm adhered the best. My wife didn't like the glossy/textured look. So the mod cost more that i wanted to spend, but it looks great!
My drivers side running board is rusting out. Who has one (Or both) and how much for them? I would take just the drivers side if it is tan, or both sides if they are black. I'm flexible.
