Final build list.....Hopefully...
1992 300 I6
Speed Density
178k miles
Currently has a slight stumble on acceleration @ 1,000-sh RPM's...IF you hold it there constantly....I'm thinking TPS goin bad...
Also, currently has 3 oil leaks...Maybe more if I REALLY cleaned the engine up to find'em....
SO here goes...
Complete Engine Seal & Gasket kit- $122
Cloyes Steel Timing Gears- $89.95
New Main Bearings- $56.95
ARP Head Stud Kit- $89.95
Headers- $359
The only thing I haven't gotten to is seeking a machine shop to port and polish my head, and install 1.90" Int/1.60" Exh valves....
And figure out a cam kit that'll fit my needs...I'm looking for Idle-4,500rpm band....If at all possible...
And the addition of a set of pistons....And from my research, a set of 390 engine pistons will fit the bill...having the same pin diameter, etc....
Anything else I need to look at before I get everything done?
Other than the above list of parts....Here's the rest of it...
-Polish the crank journals
-Add 390 pistons
-Camshaft kit (Camshaft/lifters, valve springs, locks, etc)
-Add 1.90" Intake, 1/60" Exhaust valves (Gotta let that puppy breathe)
-Flow match everything as much as possible
-Hot tank the block and head AFTER the machining...To get rid of any particles...
-MegaSquirt System w/ Wide Band O2 Sensor
So for now..Thats all that's set in stone...
