figured out how to time the van has a 5.0 efi aod need to know what the idle rpms are suppos to be at idle the under hood sticker does net tell ya and all chiltion manuals say refer to under hood sticker is this classified info and if i find out will i have to be assinated?? does it have to be in park or neutral to get correct reading rpms change between park and neutral
the reason this problem is happening because the screw on throttle body has been moved (should not be moved) how do you find out where it is supposto be set (mesurment ????? ect)
if there was a new tps installed is there a cirtian ohm reading that tells you when you have throttle body set at the right spot and if so what should dvom read ?? thanks for reading this van is starting to come around and run like it should it is a stock engine 17000 miles and it gets 8 miles to the gallon timing is at 10btdc with spout connector removed and when installed is at 20 is this right cant figure out what i`am doing wrong
use a good volt meter, and put a straight pin in the green wire coming off of the TPS, use an aligator clip to clip the + (pos) lead of the meter to the pin, and ground the other side, turn the key on and the reading should be .5 to 1.0 volt at idle.
