I have a 93 F150 XLT, 2x4, 351, ex-cab, longbed. I just recently purchased this truck. It is in superb shape has 70,000 miles on it runs great. It was not driven at all for the past year and a half . I was wondering what all I should do to it first to make sure it stays running tip top. Also on this forum I have heard so many bad things and good things, about the E4OD Transmision it almost made me not buy the truck. If they are a problem what can I do to fix it / prolonge the current life? Hopfully on the realitively inexpensive side.
Does it have an external cooler on it? If not get one. Change the fluid and filter now. Then you'll know its done. Intsall a pan drain plug or get a deep sump pan. That will make changing the fluid easier. Thats really all i can think. maybe a shift kit now too.
