Windshield Wiper Motor Wiring

I am in need of some help with the windshield wiper motor wiring for my 1966 Ranchero. I finally found a new motor, it has 4 wires; red, blue, black, and white, plus a ground wire. The original wiring for the Ranchero motor has just three wires, no ground. I have installed the motor and done some testing with test leads. The motor works, is a 2 speed, the original was a single speed, I can deal with that. My quandary is the other wires and what they are for. In testing the motor whenever I shut the switch off, that is where the wipers stay, is that normal?

Any information will be greatly appreciated!!

the other wires are for the second speed and washer. when switching from single speed to 2 speed you also need to swap the switch and wires. the 3 wires in the single speed are for hot, washer and park with case ground. the four wires in the 2 speed are for high, low, washer, park and the case is the ground.

This information is greatly appreciated, do you know the color coding for the low speed, high speed, washer, and park? I have a Falcon wiring diagram for both the single and dual speed, it tells me what wires and the colors, but not what the colors are for.

See if this helps
Some wires might not match but you can figure out what goes where.
