Options: 352 2V (the 240 I-6 was standard equipment), Custom Cab package, and from what I can see...chrome front bumper, L/H outside mirror.
The radio antenna is aftermarket, so I dunno if it has an original AM radio...or not.
Just from reading the forum for the last few days I know of the following that don't seem to be specified by the VIN:
- Windshield washer
- Outside mirrors
- Radio
- A/C
- Heat
Thanks, Dave
Applications: 1961/64 Galaxie/Custom/500XL / 1961/66 F100/1100 / 1963/69 N/NT/T500/1100 / 1967/69 F800/1000.
It would take me at least two hours to type all the options and accessories available for '66 F100's.
Everything we take for granted today was either an option or an accessory, or not available for these trucks.
The basic truck was a 115" wheelbase Cab & Chassis w/a 240 I-6 & 3 on the tree. Beds were optional, as were the radio, heater(s), mirrors, seat belts and etc etc etc!
The A/C your truck has was not factory installed, only available dealer installed. Without seeing a pic of it, I dunno if it's genuine Ford or aftermarket.
Most peeps (including myself) didn't wanna spend the bucks for a genny unit, so aftermarket A/C's predominate, but less than 2% of 1965/66's have any type of A/C.
btw: Bought one a these rolling piles of misery new in 1965, sold it in 2009. Have also bought new: 1968/1971/1979/1988/1992/2004, and the current 2011 pile.
