I am looking around at leveling kits for my 2006 F-250 crew 4x4 with the 6.0 PSD. I have heard a lot of mixed things about the leveling kits out there and I have a few questions. Is it always necessary that I buy new shocks when I get a leveling kit. For the kits that involve adding a spacer about the shock why can they just not work with the stock shock.
Also I just bought 285-70-17 tires for the truck. Would those tires look way too small with the kit installed or would it look ok?
How is the install. I have a car jack and a few bottle jacks and some jack stands. Is a leveling kit reasonable do it yourself install or is it a stretch. I am not experienced but I am mechanically inclined and have done other small installs before.
