Hello, This is my first post.
By reading alot of other posts I've determined that I indeed have "Torque converter shudder". (A shudder that occurs when a load is applied) although mine does not occur when the E-250 is cold.
Most of you recommed that a complete trans fluid flush is in order, if that does not do the trick am I to assume that the only fix is a new torque converter?
I've been living with it for 6months is it too late for just a flush?
What are my options & what fluid is best for the change?

You sure can try a fluid flush and change.
I know the 4R70W had the torque converter lockup shudder and it can be fixed most of the time by using Mercon V. DO NOT use Mercon V in a E40D though...
If you have never changed the tranny fluid, you may be in for more trouble than you bargained for. Does the fluid smell burned?
If the flush does not fix it then you will need a new converter. But you also will need to have a reprogramming kit installed which fixes the cause of the shudder. While you are in there also have a shift kit put in, it's worth it in the E4OD.
