I don't even know what to ask for it. It needs rebuilt there's a lot of play in the shaft, I just got luck and found a van turbo for $200 in my area on cl.

Clay, I wish I would have known you carried the gaskets I would have ordered them when I ordered everything else.

I just hope that when I put the new turbo on and I can have a good look at everything I can find all the leaks. Doubling my boost is gonna be like installing my tuner for the first time all over again... I hope.

Now I'm having a problem with the universals in my rear end. I've put 3 of them in in 1 year! I can't win for loosing!!!

I got the turbo and plenum reforincements and up-pipe gaskets installed and WOW!!! The sound of the turbo blowing off excess boost is awesome!! and a power difference WOW!!! It takes longer to spool up but well worth it because when it kicks in it really kicks. Guess what!? Im still only making 15 pounds of boost... as far as I can tell I have no boost leaks, Im wondering if its in the tuning

Im beginning to wonder if the placement of my boost hose is in the right spot, it ready 15psi, but Im causing the "idiot light" to come on at WOT, wouldnt that be me tripping the SES and defueling?

I believe your hpop is not keeping up with what the injectors want, mine will light the SES & this is what I was told. Does it go off in just a few minutes driving normal?

Yep it goes off shortly after. So does that mean I should step up my HPOP? If so what difference would the T500 make? Riffraff Diesel: Terminator Modded 17º HPOP I just think it would be nice to see what my truck will really do.

Probably but I'd hook up some thing to read hpop pressure & % before throwing parts at it. I'm in pretty much the same boat so I'm gonna try & get some #'s on mine shortly before swapping injectors.

I think theres something Ive been over looking (gut feeling). If I still have 10 pounds or so of boost to gain my truck would be stupid fast. About an hour after it rained yesterday I got everything figured out and taken care of and went for the first ride with the new turbo on, the road was wet but I floored it at 60ish mph in my 80economy tune and I walked the truck sideways!! I was shocked, it surprised my and cought me off guard because I never expected that! So that + 10ish more psi boost, does that sound right?

IDK John how much boost are you seeing now?
I see 26-28 in my 80 tune & 30 in my race tune, my gauge is plumbed into the map line.

That don't sound right, you sure the gauge is good, no leaks in tube to gauge or kinks in the tubing.
I'd think you should see mid 20's easy

Gauge is right I borrowed one from a friend of my to double check mine and his reads the same thing. No kinks in anything and as far as I know there's no leaks in my map line. I even swapped out my boost hose with some thick tubing to make sure that wasn't my problem too
