convert closed to open
hey everyone, i was contacted about trading trailers my 12 open utility for a 14 enclosed tandem. id like to have an open,but mines a single axle and this one is dual and the extra space is nice.....so can the sides be cut off down to 2 feet high and still function??

I don't think there is as much frame on enclosed trailers. I contemplated doing this to mine, but after looking under it, and seeing open trailer frames before, it seems that the enclosure gives the trailer it rigidity, in place of a beefier underframe. I suppose you may be able to add crossmembers, but would still be a bit on the light side.
