I have had a problem with my engine missfireing latley and I am trying to diagnose it, I am going to replace the dizzy to see if thats it. But today I was checking my plugs and I pulled off my plug wire on my #3 and the clip in the plug wire that holds onto the top of the plug and goes to the plug wire stuck to the plug top and was pissed because I had never had that happen to me, so I go in seach of the old plug wires that I had replaced with the ones that just broke, I found them , took just one old one and connected it to #3 and the dizzy, checked out the gap and condition of my (newly replaced plugs) and they all had different things on them, I think 5 of them had some carbon(normal ammount) but some really clean spots and 2 of them looked normal, and one of them was completly black, I clean'd them and gaped them and put them in and started her up and she ran different than normal but the same...... ? Still had the missfireing but it wasnt as bad somtimes and somtimes it would pop a little louder than normal... I am going to replace the plugs (chapion) and wires when I replace the distributor. I was wondering if they sell ignition rewireing kits with the connectors? Like a kit that can replace my original under the hood wires (mine are in alright condition but I want better) and I was wondering how much it would cost me?
