I just replaced the inner door handle cable (Drivers side) because the old one snapped. I put the door panel back on, and started her up to go for a drive. Hump...radio didn't come on. Damn.
Started out of the driveway and noticed speedo wasn't working either. Hit second gear with a BANG.
Dang-it, I'm in limp mode.
If the speedo and radio aren't working, maybe I blew a fuse somehow? Would this cause limp mode to engage?
It was fuse #13 which controls stop/hazard lamps, stop sense for anti-lock brakes, EEC, Speed Control.
Best I could tell it that when I put the door panel back on, it crimped the courtesy light harness against a sharp edge and grounded the hot wire. But that should be on fuse #8, and the radio should be on #11 I don't get it. I replaced #13 as it was blown, now everything including the radio works again.
I can make my radio short messing with and shorting all kinds of different circuits. I think it might have something to do with speaker grounds or something, I don't know.
Whenever I short a wire, my radio blinks or goes into safety mode, I can guarantee it.
Also, dunno about 92 but in my 1990 Radio, dome light, cigarette lighter and a few others share a fuse.
