There is a clip that can be seen when the headlight **** is fully extended (inside the headlight **** housing). Grab a pair of needle nose pliers and depress the clip.
if you just pull hard enough it will come apart be careful though the first time i did it i didn't know what i was doing and i took a chunk out of my finger on the clip. its probably best to pinch the clip and pull it off but some of us arn't that patient.
I had to take it off last week. I used a small allen wrench like a hook tool to depress the clip. Hook it on the back of the clip & pull back toward the ****. Also, you may want to refer to Hayes on disconnecting the thumb wheel for the shift position lever. Good luck, Eric.
It is my understanding that the wiper **** comes off that way.
The headlight switch **** and shaft slides out after depressing
the button on top of the switch > behind the dash
The headlight **** will come off the shaft, or the shaft will come out of the switch. I usually take it off its shaft like the W/S wiper **** just because it's so much easier to do than to reach up inside the dash & find that button.
