Engine Tap
1988 F-150 4x4 w/351 engine. I have a new engine noise, and am looking for some answers. When I start the truck, I can hear a tapping coming from the right side of the engine. When I go from Park to Drive the tapping gets louder. When I start to move it gets even louder. when I coast it gets quieter. Length of drive doesn't effect it. Any Ideas as to what to look for?

Engine Tap
No load. Just driving to work. As I said, it gets louder as I give it gas and ebbs when I let off the gas. When I am sitting at a light I can hear it above the radio. When I park it it is barely noticable but still there.It seems to adjust with the acceleration also,getting more noticable.
