I have a 98 F150 with the 4.6L engine and one of the manifold bolts is broke off. The local ford garage quoted me around $800 to repair it plus $50 for each additional bolt they break off in the process. The price is so high because they say they need to replace the manifold because it is probably warped. Is this a resonable price or am I getting screwed. Funny thing is they say its been a common problem for alot of Ford trucks and SUV's if its so common recall it.
Look at it this way.
What is their labor rate?
Multiply that by an estimated time in hours plus the cost of a new manifold and any additional issues and see what it comes to.
I'm sure they will tell you a bit on the high side to cover there behind.
Good luck.
