It might work due to the same firing order, but the 460's had 19# injectors, I'm not sure what the 302's in mustangs had.
What transmission did you have? You may should be able to use a 1988+ (C6/ZF 5sp) or 1989-1995 computer as they didn't change much. Pull your computer, it should have a code on it.
