We have hay coming in from all over to Texas. Heard 800lb round bales were going for $120 in Austin. My boss was able to get a cut in about a month and a half ago. Has about 60 acres of good coastal and usually gets about a bale an acre. He only got 8 bales last cut and had to buy some back from a gentleman he sold a bunch to from the last good cut.
it is grass hay, I had 288 ish bales on that trailer and my father had my trailer with about 200 on it. it will feed our horses and 2 steers for a year. we save about 2 - 3 thousand dollars after expenses by going and getting it.
