Puddle on top of the engine.

After putting my truck back 2gether recently, I finally started it up after a lil over a week and had a quick plume of white smoke bellow out from the exhaust, and then a rough idle. Checked the codes and got a standard cyl 4 misfire. Swapped coils, and cleared the codes, so far so good but didn't drive it last night. Figured this was due to the amount of rain we had in one day, dripping down cyl 4.

I was looking around the engine bay and noticed a puddle of crap and some liquid on top of the engine, under the manifold and plenum, behind the alternator. Not sure what it is. Couldn't find anything free flowing while looking either but, I'd need to pull the intake to get a better look. Not sure if it's oil, coolant, power steering or brake fluid. It's location on the engine, has me at a loss. Any ideas or theories would help.

There's a coolant tube that runs between the top and bottom intake manifolds, it's know to leak.

Why certainly...here's a picture with the upper intake off and the lower intake still installed.

Yup, thats what mine looks like now. Not enough room to see the coolant, but everything else looks on par. This pic has the plenum removed? Wonder if this is whats dripping down to the oil pan?

This looks like I would have to pull the Intake, upper intake manifold, plenum and of course gaskets, and fuel rails off. I should do a coolant flush as well, before I tackle this.

Thanks, now I have a much better idea of what I need to deal with.
