D60 Width Differences????
I have an opportuninty to pick up a Dana 60 rear from a 72' F-250 today.
I am wondering if there is a spring perch width difference between the older trucks and the 73'+??? What about drum to drum width?
I am looking to pick up this diff locally for $30 (no typo). The owner says it's an open 4.10 diff with a damaged drum. I haven't seen it yet, but it sounds pretty hard to pass up for a swap into my 77' 150.

The F250s up to 77.5 had narrower frame rails in back and narrower springs 2 1/4 vrs 3". You may have to use your perches for the swap but deminsionally the rear end is the same. Good find!

I went ahead and picked up the diff. It looks like the drum got broken trying to remove it to fix a blown axle seal.
I'm gonna go see the chiropractor now. We had to load it with both wheels and both spring packs bolted on.
